FemtoLASIK

This is one of the most modern laser vision correction methods available in the world.

This is an improved LASIK procedure in which instead of using a mechanical microkeratome blade to incise the cornea, a computer-controlled femtosecond laser is used.

This allows us to create flaps for LASIK procedures with the ability to choose the diameter and thickness of the flap, as well as the angle of inclination of the flap edges.

The femtosecond laser, compared to mechanical microkeratomes, gives:

  • greater predictability of the thickness of the flap created (it can be reduced even below 100 µm), which saves corneal tissue, increasing the safety of correction procedures for larger vision defects and increasing the scope of the defect corrected
  • the possibility of intraoperative complications is also lower, thanks to the accuracy of this laser,
  • it also allows for faster eye rehabilitation and affects the patient’s mental comfort after the procedure.

Precise preparation for surgery, based on the results of high-quality tests, allows for an optimal assessment of indications.
